This is something I just found out about because I was going to do a search on google and saw that they’re turned their lights out.

Given today is the celebration of Earth Hour, people are being encouraged to turn their lights OFF during the hours of 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. to conserve energy and show awareness of global conservation efforts.

I’m reading their site right now to see what things I can do to help conserve energy. Before we moved I’d begun switching out all our bulbs to energy efficient ones, but there are all kinds of little things which can be done around the house, very simply in order to help conserve energy.

Here’s one that’s close to my heart and that I’m glad to have rediscovered.

Knot magic is used for healing and binding. It’s best to use black cord for this one because of the nature of it’s intent.

I lay this cord on the hurt.
The hurt comes into the cord.
I tie a knot in the cord.
It is as I say.

Hurt comes into the cord.
Hurt you are trapped in the cord.
Twice trapped in the cord.
It is as I say.

Hurt comes into the cord.
Hurt you are trapped in the cord.
Thrice trapped in the cord.
It is as I say.

I take away the cord,
that holds the imprisoned hurt.
The hurt has come away.
It is as I say.

I bury the cord in the earth.
Earth, receive this cord.
Make it earth of earth.
It is as I say.

As you can imagine you tie a knot in the cord with each verse about trapping pain (hurt) in the cord, and then at the appropriate time remove the cord from the afflicted area and then bury it outside in the ground.

Color projection can be healing as well. For the most potent healing focus on the powder blue. Doing those things in tandem with the cord binding can help with the effectiveness of the message. I’ve heard it suggested the imagining yourself wrapped in a powder blue close can help ease tension and also help with sleep. I need to remember that at night.

I found a couple of spells on some note paper today which are supposed to help for banishing negative imprints, particularly those of entities or someone else’s energy that’s having a bad influence on your life.

Be confused. All is well. Now you are blessed.
You have life to nurture and nurture you.
Be calm. Be easy. Be comforted. You are blessed.

Alternately if you can identify the cause of the imprint as a previous resident speak directly to them in the most affected room.

It is time to leave here. All is well.
There is nothing here for you. You must be gone.
Go now go. Complete your passing.

Make sure nothing has been left behind that carries the energy field of the previous resident, in particular old writings and photographs. If they’re causing issue.

If you wish to keep something of theirs that is imprinted with a previous energy field purify it with salt; if you suspect furniture use incense to purify it.

With this I purify you of the past.
Of hurts and memories, keeping only love.

I don’t remember what book I found this in or where else I may have got it from but it’s a lovely poem and I’m grateful to have it on the inside cover of my Book of Shadows:

This is what came to me yesterday when I was cleansing the crystal and disposing of the salt that I had cleansed it with.

Mother Earth, this salt is purification
We return it to the ground, your ground
With this ring we set the boundaries
Walls to keep this house hold safe

We thank you for the bountiful garden
Which surrounds this home, our keep
We thank you for your guidance always
And your protection while we sleep.

I’ve been doing quite a few workings lately, mostly just lighting candles and praying for various people, places and things. There’ve been a lot of thank yous to the powers that be also. That’s something my mother cemented in me to do from a very young age. She would always let me know that I should thank God for the good things in my life instead of just asking for things.

I still do the same thank yous but the entities I thank are different.

I’m very, very thankful that we’re actually going to have a place to live. That was a big fear in the past weeks, deep down I felt it would work out but when there are setbacks it gets a little shaky and I would remind myself every night to be thankful that we had an extension and could be here until the 31st rather than the 12th but that if things could be pushed forward a little I would definitely not be ungrateful, and here we are, closing this weekend and getting things in. The sellers have even said that I can go up there today and take a few boxes and take some measurements despite the fact that we don’t have the keys yet, which is very nice of them, and helps things be less hectic this weekend.

My husband was able to find movers for us, but I’m glad to be able to take certain fragile things over there today, so that I’m not worried about them getting broken.

I started last night cleansing the protection crystal we’ve had at the apartment so that it will be fresh for the move to the new house. I thought I’d write a note about crystals and cleansing them as I was doing things.

Now protection crystals are great for spreading positive energy and light throughout the house, from guarding against psychic attacks and things of that nature. They’re not however going to prevent other issues, if there’s asbestos in your house you really need to get something done about that rather than just putting out the crystal, that way you can hopefully get by without a mesothelioma lawyer in the future.

Bringing positive energy, and good spirits and helping hold sway against negativity those things crystals are good for.

My crystal is a regular quartz crystal that I picked up from the local gem shop. Normally I keep it in front of the protection totem, but right now it’s in a ziploc box buried in a good two cups (if not more) of salt so that it can be leeched of any build up of negative energy and all the tune to this apartment and be used at the new place.

After it’s been in the salt. I’ll pour the salt out into the yard and wash it, then it will be ready to recharge, which I’ll do by placing it in the kitchen window at the new house so that it will get the sun every morning until we move in. It’s actually working out perfectly on that score because it will have Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning, three days, and we get the key Friday afternoon.

Well, Phase 1 is complete. Now we’re waiting on inspections and closing costs and so on so that we can hopefully move in. The reading that I did on Friday after we made the second offer seemed to indicate that things would be favorable. Now it’s just finishing up the less fun part of moving, which is packing and moving.

I wrote out a little bit of a ritual last night which I thought I would share. It’s to use with a protection totem, or with a candle set like I’ve made with the green, yellow, blue, red and white candles in a stand pointing to the appropriate directions and center.
