He calmed down when he realized I was looking them up for someone we know. Since the cleansing and unbinding ritual the other day my Mum had asked if there were any rituals that could be done to help someone she knows conceive, so I figured I would have a look.

Previous to this the only specific spells I’ve seen doing with the female cycle were to help ease the pains of menstruation; but I figured there had to be things to do with fertility because the cycle, and female power is a big part of magic.

Something interesting I found was this:

During your most fertile time (usually 2 days before, during and after ovulation), light 9 white candles in your bedroom. Place them around your bed. Sit or stand nude with your partner facing the North and repeat the following:

“With one mind, we call to thee.
With one heart, we long for thee
Childe of Earth, Wind, Fire & Sea,
In to our lives, we welcome thee”

Turn to the East, then South, then West, repeating this incantation each time you do so. Proceed as nature requires. Repeat this spell each of the 5 nights before intercourse.

I also found it interesting to read that caffeine is supposed to help fertility. Drinking at least 4oz of coffee a day, for the man trying to help his partner conceive, is something which will help increase motility of sperm.

I was gratified to see that the website I linked does acknowledge that seeking medical advice and counsel is always a must with these things. It’s something I feel strongly about. I tend to look at spell-workings as a booster to things which have already been brought into place.

Here is another little charm that I thought sounded nice.

Try filling a leather pouch with 1 of each of these stones: amethyst, clear quartz crystal, chrysoprase and aventurine. Place fresh rosemary under the bed when trying to conceive and wear the pouch around your neck each time you try. This will increase your chances of becoming pregnant. Once pregnant, keep the pouch until after you deliver to easy your labor pains and help ensure a safe delivery. Before your baby is 1 month old, give the stones away, particularly to a friend who is pregnant or who is also trying to conceive.
