My laptop has taken a dive again. I wish it was something simple like computer memory being the issue, but it’s not. I’ve replaced the power supply, or at least have an order in for one, but it seems like the monitors not working either. It’s very frustrating.

I’m locked out of quite a bit of work, and all the email I received in the past two months as well as the article for the Tarot World Magazine and a couple of stories as well. It’s very frustrating. I’ve put a new screen, and a new keyboard in already in the past two months, and replaced a battery. Now I’m going to have to replace the battery again, no doubt, because the power cord will probably have killed it, and then I might have to replace the screen again…but it’s very frustrating, I’m wondering what’s going to go next.

It might be better for me to buy another laptop for cheap, and refurbish it and start over from scratch at this point. If I keep having to replace parts on this one I may as well.

I do have the desktop PC that I can use in a pinch, as I am now, but I like the laptop because I can take it outside and do work on the patio while the munchkin builds sandcastles and I can take it in the bedroom if I’m feeling ill and things like that.

I’m at the point where I feel as though I’m going to always have spots on my face. It seems like no matter what I do they keep coming back. I can scrub, not scrub, use creams, use fruit, use just about anything and I always have spots.

I’m never going to cut chocolate completely out of my diet, so I figure I’m just doomed to have zits. I’m not one to wear make-up it’s too much hassle, so you see me you’re going to see some spots. I pick at them. I know I’m not supposed to. I try not to but some times I just have to. They sit there on my face taunting me. If you just pop me I’ll be gone! Some times it works some times it doesn’t, as with anything that’s a force of nature some times you’re just doomed. I can’t stop the need for using the bathroom, and I can’t stop zits.

I’ve been hearing a lot about this new natural acne treatment and it’s tempting, but I feel like with anything else my zits may well just be too stubborn like me to respond to it. We got our tax return in though so maybe I’ll give it a go.

It’s hard some times to feel that you can still exercise when you don’t have and can’t afford a treadmill or a stair master; but there are many things you can do.

I do try to walk around our neighborhood but as the Florida weather creeps towards unpleasantly hot it’s hard to be able to do that. So, I’ll do mini stair climber things on our stair case, and step aerobics on the bottom step. I’ll chase the munchkin around the yard.

Just cutting out soda is a big help with losing weight because of all the sugar and junk that’s in there. When I really started studying labels on things I was so surprised as to everything that I’ve been putting in my body. The caffeine reduction has been taking it’s toll on my mood, but I’ve found that lying in the yard for a few minutes really helps me to center and get back in the proper frame of mind to continue the day.

With having had to replace a lot of things in the past couple of months I’m often found browsing around on google after the munchkin has gone to bed looking for the best buy that I can find on our limited budget, and finding out which things are necessities to be replaced and which things we can hold off on or find a way to do without.

I’m doing a lot of repairing of parts rather than replacing of wholes, and in our house we’re also running certain things out and replacing them with natural alternatives. I was gratified to find out that my host has been working on lowering their carbon footprint for many years and pride themselves on being eco-friendly. We have energy saving bulbs throughout our house, and I use a steam mop to clean the floors so that I don’t have to use chemicals on the floor, which is good for both the environment and my son and cat.

I’ll talk more about being eco-friendly in a bit, right now I have to do some more things away from the keyboard for a little while.

Even with the second computer and the spare keyboard it’s been hard for me to do the catching up I’ve been intending to do. We’ve had a hectic few days due to the dregs of illness and the munchkin being a bit hornery as he comes into the terrible twos full force. I’ve been having to take a lot of deep breaths and counting to tens, and there have been a lot of time-outs for both of us.

Some times I feel as though I have two different children. One is nice and sweet and loving, will come up and give me hugs and kisses, snuggle in my lap or play nicely at my feet while I try to catch up on some work, and the other suddenly appears and goes on a destructive spree around the house, glaring at me, screaming “I want! I want!” throws things everywhere and tries to kill the cat. It’s very perplexing, and I’m told, completely normal.

These are the times I wish that being pagan meant I could just wiggle my nose like Samantha in “Bewitched” and fix things, or at the very least put the fence up in our back yard so that he had a safe place to play outside without me hovering over him like a hawk and I could catch up on a few things, or at least start to put the house back together.

Aside from breaking the keyboard on my laptop, he’s broken the sides off a stone prayer pyramid that I have, and tried to go bowling with my crystal ball. Thankfully my tarot cards are kept in a locked chest when I’m not using them for a reading so they’re safe from his exploits, but I’m beginning to think that I’m going to have to get a ladder and move all the shelves in the house up to the seven foot mark on the wall so that things are safe.

It’s hard some times to fit everything in to your schedule. You feel overwhelmed. You know there are things that you need to do, that you want to actually use the home gyms that you spent all that money on, but you have to go to this appointment, and you have to do that task. If you work during the week getting everything done when you’re home and not exhausted can be hard to accomplish also. It’s difficult given the type of society that we live in to not feel overwhelmed and like a failure because you haven’t managed to complete X and Y and are only half way through task Z to top it off.

I find it hard myself to resolve doing certain things, any time that I take twenty minutes just to watch a TV show or play a small portion of a video game I feel hideously guilty but I’m learning that it’s okay to take time for myself that accomplishing a few things on my task list is worth something even if I haven’t completed it all because my sanity and well being are more important overall.

Life is not a race it’s a collection of learning experiences, and happiness is more important than being a huge ball of stressed out goop shuddering in the corner.

I think we all have those days where we’re ready to pack everything up in Delsey luggage and just go. My tendencies for that are slowing down a lot since we moved and are getting to an even keel, but there are many ways to help with the panic attacks.

I’ve said before that I’m looking into reiki, but I also find that just taking a few moments each day to relax, ground and cleanse can help to keep things chilled out.

I’m trying to take a more relaxed outlook to things to not sweat the small things and to just let as much as possible roll off my back. I’ve had the tendency to freak out over everything when certain things aren’t things I can do anything about and that’s not helped by certain people we have in our social circles who bring a lot of negativity into our house, home or life.

Here’s hoping that I can help myself and perhaps spread some of this wisdom throughout our circle so that the negativity in our area dissipates.

It is! It is! I wish we could do it more; not only would it be a way for us to show the munchkin new places and new experiences but it would help us with our own cleansing and de-toxing that we need to do.
It’s great to travel especially if you can get good hotel deals, but there are still things that you can do if you’re strapped for cash.

My husband and I have been taking day trips to places rather than doing stays anywhere because it’s easier on our budget and his schedule. We’ve taken our son to the zoo and to play parks, things like that, so he can learn about different things and have different experiences without it breaking the budget too much.

We’re setting money aside for various things, one thing that we want to do is take him on a trip to England so that he can learn more about his history and my family and where I grew up. I’d like my husband to see that too.

For now we just have to be content with exploring our close environment but there are lots of fascinating things to be shown close to home as well.

It’s been a bit hectic the past few days, some of it good, some of it bad, but that happens with everything.
We decided as a family that we would have some family time. We took my son to the zoo for the first time, and we went out to the bigger mall that’s near the zoo (as it turns out), and I actually looked at some bustiers and bought a corset for myself that fits. I’ve missed my corset. It’s a cheater corset because it zips instead of pulling tight, but once I trim down I will back into my proper corset so that will be good.

I’ve also got all my licensing and everything sorted out again for the new address so all I have left to do is update my address with the Florida Business Bureau as they still have us listed from the previous move. I couldn’t do anything earlier because the internet has been up and down like a yo-yo today for some reason. Probably just that I have a lot of things I’ve been wanting to catch up on.

I have the intent to do some sample readings and post them with pictures and things, and I’m hoping to sort out how to record myself doing readings as a demonstration without feeling like a moron…but that’s going to be hard

Onwards and upwards though.
