One of the things we’re having to do so that we have room for stock is clean. It makes sense, especially as we bought our house “as is” which meant we had a lot of items left over from the previous owners, while there’s nothing quite so magnificent as Callaway golf clubs we did acquire a television and several boxes of books, as well as a bayonet. Our house has history, and we have to clean up both spiritually and physically from that history.
We joke that perhaps someone died upstairs because there was a suspicious stain on the padding and all the carpet had been ripped up, but you never know if that might be right or not, so we made sure to do lots of cleansing rituals when we first moved in. We’re going to do another one once Kore gets back from her mini vacation as we get things set up and painted and can even put some protective symbols on the doors and windows. It’s a long process but it’ll be worth it in the long run.

This is a quick little ritual that I use quite a bit because it’s easy to gather the supplies for it and it’s simple to perform but very effective.
You need: paper and a pen, and water or fire.
What you do: Write your wishes and intentions on the piece of paper, speak them or just read them over to yourself while you’re folding the paper three times, and then either burn them or drop them into running water.
I’ve done this ritual a couple of times in college where I actually just flushed the paper down the toilet after reading things out.
I find there is great power in threes, so often times I would read things three times and things like that, occasionally folding it three times and then three times again, or cutting them three times, if it’s a banishing ritual or certain cleansing rituals sometimes cutting is better because it’s symbolizes the cutting of ties.

This weekend I actually got to use the fire pit again for the first time in a while. We built the fire pit back in April, but between many things including the weather we haven’t done anything with it despite the intention.
A few weeks ago a tree fell down in our back yard, and over the past few weeks my husband and a friend of his have been gradually taking it apart, finally this weekend it was all chopped down and the weather was good enough that we could get a fire going. We broke down the bigger chunks of tree and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows, and Kore and I also did a small ritual for a few friends of the family, praying for them to have easier times coming and better able to find balance. It was nice and relaxed, and the energy was really good. I’m very happy with the way things went, and I’m looking forward to being able to use the fire pit in the future, more often.
We have a lot of wood pieces left over from our recent construction project, and if the weather stays this crisp and nice that we can use it again. It’s a perfect time of year, coming into winter now.

I know it may sound strange but it happens. Ghosts can be attracted to people who have a high spiritual energy and other times they come with items of furniture that they were attached to in life.
When I was in college we had a spirit come to us along with a kitchen table. Our landlords were given the table after an estate sale of a friend of their mothers. When we got it we discovered that we didn’t have to tell the cats not to jump on it. They would sniff around and occasionally put their feet up on the chairs but they would always run away as though they’d been chastised even though they hadn’t. After a few days of this we started noticing cold spots in the kitchen, which was interesting given we had no air conditioning in that apartment.
It got to the point that the only real time the cats would go into the kitchen was to drink from the kitchen faucets when their water ran out while we were in class. They’d still tear through the rest of the house like crazy animals. After a while we decided to talk to whatever was in our house, and the cats calmed down about the kitchen a little to the point where they would at least come to the fridge, but they would still give the table and chairs wide berth. I find it interesting that often times animals are more aware of things than we are. None of my room mates got a malicious feeling about the woman who came with the table, we just knew that she was there. She apparently just really liked her table.
There was an elderly man, as far as I could tell, who would stand by the door out on to the first floor balcony, some times I would get the scent of cigarette smoke from him, and he seemed to just be a household fixture, but the woman definitely wasn’t there when we looked around the house.
It’s always fascinating to me to find the differences in what causes spirits to be attached to certain areas, or objects. The town I lived in when I was in college is notorious for being haunted, however not all of the ghosts are historic. The woman with the table had only died a few months before.

It’s amazing how quickly you can become redirected on the internet, one moment you’re looking at graphics sites two google searches later and you’re finding Hydroxycut hardcore…so simple and yet it can make things so difficult.
I remember the first time I tried to do research in college and despite having put in “future” “medical supplies” “doctors” I wound up with 50% of my searches being pornographic. It was horrible, and very disconcerting for a seventeen year old who was having her first interaction with the internet.
I’m hoping that I can get our keywords set so that if people are looking for what we have they can find us. The greatest portion of our sales will becoming from the internet and what marketing we can do around here, until we can get a brick and mortar store going…so we really need to get ourselves out there.
