I keep getting calls from companies which are offering me excess advertising pens from their inventory. They tell me this is a great deal, but I’m always worried that given they’re just randomly calling me from the phone book that this is some kind of scam.
If I was going to shell out for pens I’d do research first, and I’d contact the company. I’m just not going to trust some one that’s randomly calling around going, “Here have these pens,” I’m imagining pens that don’t actually work, or that are extremely ugly if they’re this bulk stock that they just have lying around. Why would someone cancel on them at the last minute if their pens are that great. That sort of thing.
