I hear a lot that people aren’t able to be hypnotized. They’ve been told that they can’t be, or they feel that they can’t because they’ve perhaps been present at a stage hypnosis show and not “gone under” various reasons. It’s my belief that whether you’re commodity brokers or a librarian, an astronaut or a housewife you can be hypnotized. Some people are more hypnotically susceptible than others, that’s true, but everyone can be hypnotized under the right circumstances and with the right hypnotist.

In some cases the person may not have been hypnotized because they weren’t mentally ready, or they didn’t trust their circumstances or the hypnotist that they were with, or the right induction techniques weren’t used by the hypnotist for the personality type they have. But anyone can be hypnotized. Some people will go more deeply into the hypnotic state than others the first time they’re run through the scripts, but the more you work with hypnosis the easier it is for you to achieve the hypnotic state.
